Session replay

A screen recording of the last 30 seconds, on the bug.

A screen recording bug report tool. The widget records the session while someone uses the page. When they file a report, BugTrap keeps about the last 30 seconds and plays it on the ticket. Text typed into inputs is masked.

The recording

A short replay, ready when the bug arrives.

  • About the last 30 seconds

The recording starts when the widget loads and trims itself as the session goes on. The report keeps the latest half minute, which is the part that led to the bug.

  • A snapshot every 10 seconds

An idle tab still has a full picture of the page inside that window. The replay does not depend on the reporter moving the mouse the whole time.

  • Inputs are masked

Text typed into inputs is masked in the replay. The team can watch the path through the page without collecting what someone typed.

  • Playback stays on the bug

The player is on the ticket, next to the screenshot. An agent that reads the bug through MCP is told a replay is attached. The file stays in the dashboard.

On the $5 plan

Replay is on the $5 plan.

About the last 30 seconds is attached to every report, for the workspace price. Text typed into inputs is masked, and playback stays on the bug.
