Screenshots
A visual feedback tool. The original stays beside the marks.
A website annotation tool for the page they were on. A reporter clicks the button, BugTrap captures the visible page, then opens tools to draw, point, box, or type. The original screenshot and the marked-up image are both stored on the bug.
What is kept
Two images, so the drawing never covers the evidence.
The visible page
The capture is the viewport the reporter was looking at. The page URL is stored with it. The report button is left out of the shot.
Draw, arrow, box, or text
Four tools. A freehand mark, an arrow, a rectangle, or a typed note. The team sees the marks on the annotation, and the unmarked page beside it.
The element box is already there
If the reporter picked an element first, that rectangle is on the markup when the tools open. They can add anything else the team should see.
Right side, or left
The button sits at the bottom-right. Add data-position="bottom-left" on the script tag to put it on the other corner.
On the $5 plan
Markup is included with the report.
The screenshot, the annotation, the element, the replay, and the logs are on the $5 plan. One workspace price covers the report and the queue.
